De Andrea Hood van Helga Jóna Thórunnardóttir is een moderne interpretatie van Marianne Isager’s iconische ontwerp Hjælm uit de jaren ’80–’90. Het originele patroon had al een uitzonderlijk elegante pasvorm, en daarom bleef de silhouet vrijwel onveranderd. Helga richtte zich volledig op de verfijning van de details: perfect gevormde randen, nette knoopsgaten, zorgvuldige verkorte toeren en een professioneel afgewerkte look — precies het soort vakmanschap waar zij om bekendstaat.
De hoodie wordt gebreid in Isager Tweed, waarvan de subtiele kleurspikkels een levendige diepte geven aan het breiwerk, gecombineerd met twee draden Isager Silk Mohair voor een zachte, luxe textuur met prachtige kleurnuances.
Het patroon bevat bovendien meerdere instructievideo’s die je stap voor stap begeleiden.

CONSTRUCTION
The hood is worked from the bottom up. First the back is worked and then the two fronts. After this all three parts are joined and worked together to the top of the head. A flat section is worked along the top of the head, where the center of the work is knitted together with the two sides. At the end a front edge is worked in double knitting along the fronts and around the face opening, and buttonholes are worked along one side.
